Course Description

The course aims to further increase students’ competency in the four skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, with particular emphasis on speed reading, speed writing, essay writing, preparation for tertiary academic reading and expanding vocabulary to include the third 1000 words and academic vocabulary. Students will gain some more English Language Unit Standard credits at Level 3 and will be assisted to reach the literacy standards for University Entrance.


Students have completed a Year 11 or Year 12 English class and are preferably in a Year 12 or 13 class; students already have some literacy credits be at or above high B1 on the CEFR.
