Level 3 Painting

Course Description

Internal Credits:  8            External Credits:  14

Students will be expected to consolidate and extend their prior learning and in consultation with the teacher develop a personal programme of work which will enable them to provide evidence of their knowledge and understanding of the art making process and to demonstrate personal performance in the Visual Arts.


Pre-requisites

Ideally students need to have completed Level 1 art and/or Level 2 painting. But students who have no taken art previously are welcome to submit examples of their own work to the teacher in charge who will make a final decision as to whether they are likely to meet Level 3 standards.

Pathway

The visual arts are recommended for future careers as an: artist, architect, jeweller, illustrator, landscape designer, graphic designer, photographer, interior designer, art or museum curator, set designer, special effect designer, video and animation designer, advertising and marketing, signwriting, makeup and beauty and much more.
