Level 2 Tourism introduces students to the Travel and Tourism industry. The Tourism industry directly employs 8% of all New Zealanders and this course prepares students for work or further study in this area. At Level 2, students will develop key skills and industry specific knowledge while studying NZ School of Tourism Unit Standards. Students study tourist characteristics and needs, the business of Tourism, work roles, NZ and world tourist destinations.
Pre-requisites
The ability to apply basic literacy strategies is needed.
