Course Description

Achievement Standards in Terms 1 and 2 are focused on building a sound skill base in Design. In Term 3, students will submit a portfolio consisting of 2 A1 panels for external examination. This work will demonstrate the student’s ability to develop and resolve ideas in a body of work of their choosing.


Equipment/Stationery/Trips

$50 This will cover art materials used during the year. Students are required to supply their own paper. Students will be required to pay print credit when doing Design.

Pre-requisites

This course is available to all students who have passed Level 1 Photo/Design. Students who have not done Level 1 Photo/Design will need to demonstrate basic computer skills and digital literacy via an interview with the Design teacher. Experience in Design will give students the opportunity to make a more informed choice about the Visual Art disciplines they may wish to continue with in Year 13. This course will lead into Level 3, Design and Photography.
