Accounting is the study of the processes of translating financial transaction data into information to assist decision-makers to make relevant, accurate and timely decisions. This course will develop a student’s ability to use the Xero accounting software package to process a range of transactions for a trading business. It will include the recording and processing of accounting transactions, identifying and critiquing accounting systems, and the preparation and analysis of financial statements for businesses.
Pre-requisites
Recommended entry requirement is 15 Level 1 credits in Commerce. However, students with sound work habits and a minimum of 12 Level 1 credits in both English and Mathematics may apply for entry.
