Course Description

History examines the past to understand the present. At Level 3, History aims to critique the contested history of Aotearoa as students explore arguments with perceptions of truth. History students investigate the historic background to current issues of their interest.
Pre-requisites
Prior study of History or another Senior Social Science Subject is advantageous but not essential. Level 2 literacy is highly recommended.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
