Level 1 Practical Art
Course Description

This course is designed for students who want to explore their creativity and build practical skills in various artistic mediums. Building on skills developed in Year 10 Art, students will engage in a range of practical activities, including drawing, painting, printmaking and photography. The course provides a strong foundation in visual arts and prepares students for specialized senior courses in Painting, Design, or Photography. By the end of the year, students will have developed a comprehensive portfolio showcasing their talents and artistic growth. Join us for a journey of self-expression and creative discovery!
Pre-requisites
No pre-requisite. But ideally would have completed the year 10 Practical Art option. This course will lead into Level 2 Painting and Photography.
Equipment/Stationery/Trips
$65 - to cover Art materials and trip to Raglan

The visual arts are recommended for future careers as an: artist, architect, jeweller, illustrator, landscape designer, graphic designer, photographer, interior designer, art or museum curator, set designer, special effect designer, video and animation designer, advertising and marketing, signwriting, makeup and beauty and much more.
