At level 2, Geography aims to inspire students to help shape a better future for our environment as they make sense of our complex and changing world. Students will apply a kaitiakitanga approach to the care of our environment as they explore interactions of the natural and cultural environments we live in. Students will visit sites of Geographic significance to undertake research in the field at Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari or Tongariro National Park. The focal areas will be based around the cause and consequences of issues which affect our natural environment- because we live here!
