At Level 2, Geography aims to inspire students to help shape a better future by making sense of our complex and changing world, and their place in it. Students will explore real and relevant contemporary situations, which questions the effect of unequal access to resources by studying patterns of crime and disease. We will also undertake practical investigations and research in the Tongariro Volcanic Zone, as we walk the Tongariro Crossing to examine the cause and effect of Volcanic processes.

Pre-requisites

Level 1 Literacy or at the discretion of the Leader of Learning. Prior study is advised, but not essential.
