Pre-requisitesNo pre-requisite. But ideally would have completed the year 10 Practical Art option. This course will lead into Level 2 Painting and Photography.
Each student will be offered the opportunity to gain up to 15 credits in Level 1 Practical Art.
The emphasis for the Level 1 Art course is on practical study. Students will explore and develop practical skills in the visual arts in the areas of drawing, painting, printmaking and mixed media.

The visual arts are recommended for future careers as an: artist, architect, jeweller, illustrator, landscape designer, graphic designer, photographer, interior designer, art or museum curator, set designer, special effect designer, video and animation designer, advertising and marketing, signwriting, makeup and beauty and much more.
