Course Description

Internal Credits: 8-11 (choose 2 of the 3 internals available) External Credits: 10
This course aims to extend language skills beyond the basic themes studied in previous years, with a focus on issues that affect society. Students will also learn to justify and express their own ideas and opinions and challenge those of others in both spoken and written French. Topics to do so may include current issues such as environment, immigration, technology, advertising, health and wellbeing, film and media. Students will continue to develop their communication skills, critical thinking, knowledge of grammar and the cultural awareness required in today’s global world.
Pre-requisites
Either 91118 or 91121 (externals) plus 91119 or 91120 or 91122 (internals). At the discretion of Leader of Learning.
