Level 3 Biology is a challenging course which builds on some of the concepts learned at Level 2 looking at plant and animal relationships with the biotic and abiotic environment as well as evolution. It aims to develop a wide range of skills, ranging from practical and investigative skills to those associated with research and understanding of biological ideas. It also places biology into the context of the local and wider community. Independent learning is encouraged and a primary aim is to stimulate a continuing interest in biology.
Pre-requisites
Students must sit and pass both AS91156 and AS91157
If students did not take Level 2 Biology they must achieve Merit/ Excellence in Level 2 Chemistry or Level 2 Physics or at the discretion of the Leader of Learning.
