Course Description

Internal Credits: 9-10 (choose 2 of 3 internals available) External Credits: 10
This course aims to extend language skills beyond the basic themes studied in previous years, with a focus on unfamiliar situations and contexts. Students will also learn to justify and express their own ideas and opinions and challenge those of others in both spoken and written French. Topics to do so may include work and the future, relationships, technology, current issues, film and media, study of a French-speaking country etc. Students will continue to develop their communication skills, critical thinking, knowledge of grammar and the cultural awareness required in today’s global world.
Pre-requisites
NCEA Level 1. Either 91966 or 91967 (externals) plus 91965 (internal) or at the discretion of Leader of Learning.
