Pre-requisitesNative Spanish speakers who have completed NCEA Level 2 Spanish or higher. Other interested students may gain admission at the discretion of the teacher in charge.

This course aims to extend language and communication skills developed in previous years with a focus on issues that affect society. Students will also learn to justify and express their own opinions, and challenge those of others in both spoken and written Spanish. Topics may include the environment, immigration, technology, advertising, health and wellbeing, film and media. Students will continue to develop their communication skills, critical thinking, knowledge of grammar, and the cultural awareness required in today’s connected and global world.
