The course will cover one project each term focused on a different art discipline. Students will learn from contemporary NZ artists in order to develop hands-on knowledge of art making conventions in this discipline and be assessed by an achievement standard worth 4 credits each term. Achieving Merit or Excellence in the relevant assessment will then provide students entry into level 3 Design, Photography or Painting. Please note students will NOT have the opportunity to complete an external folio as other Visual Arts subjects do at Level 2.
Pre-requisites
Did you miss out on Level 1 Photo Design or Practical Art? Then Level 2 Visual Arts is for you. The course allows students who have not studied a Visual Art subject at Level 1 to learn the practical skills required for future study in Design, Photography, and Painting.
Equipment/Stationery/Trips
$65 This will cover art materials used during the year.
